Dow Michigan Operations Tour

Tour of the Dow Michigan Operations Site Plan to arrive to the 1790 Building Lobby by 6:00 PM in order to get checked in by 6:30 PM. Park in the visitor lot immediately to your right before the gate Washington Street Gate. Zilwaukee Bridge from past to present

Michael Chynoweth, Director of the Bureau of Bridges and Structures will discuss the Zilwaukee Bridge from past to present.  His presentation covers the origins of the Zilwaukee bridge, including why the structure type was selected, the original construction contract, the August 28, 1982 construction accident, project completion, the recent bearing replacement project, and 29 years of service.
